Stigma
There are lots of myths and poorly-informed perceptions when it comes to exercise and physical activity!
Health ≠ Pain
The idea that "no pain, no gain" is plain wrong. Exercise should challenge you, but it shouldn't hurt. Listen to your body and know that it's okay to take breaks and modify exercises to suit your own comfort level.
Individual Journeys
Don't compare yourself to others or let fear of judgment hold you back. Focus on your own progress and celebrate your achievements. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unwelcome at the gym, remember that there are plenty of other ways to stay active.
Strength
Strength training isn't just for bodybuilders or athletes; it's for everyone! Building muscle not only improves your physical health but also boosts your metabolism, enhances bone density, and supports everyday activities. Don't be afraid to lift those weights or try new exercises that challenge your strength.
Health Before Beauty
It is essential to prioritize health over appearance. Exercise is about much more than losing weight or getting "ripped." It's about feeling strong, confident, and happy in your own skin.
