Welcome to Active KC!
Thank you for your interest and participation in the Active KC program! We are excited to join you as you work toward accomplishing your physical activity goals. Over the next weeks we hope you enjoy materials provided to you and feel empowered to be more active throughout your day to day routine.

What to expect
After enrolling in Active KC, you will be given a Garmin Vivofit 4 to track your physical activity and begin to receive weekly text messages related to the program. If you have not already done so, our team will contact you to complete an orientation session in which we will walk you through the setup of your Garmin Vivofit 4 device and Garmin Connect account and answer any questions you may have.
The first week following your orientation to the program is considered your "baseline week." During this time please do not change any of the device settings or your routine too much. We'd like to get a good picture of what a typical day looks like in terms of your usual activities. When the program officially begins, you will receive a text message to let you know. At this time, feel free to make adjustments to the settings on your Vivofit 4 and be as active as you would like!
Using your Garmin
To get started, you will need to make sure your Garmin device and account are set up correctly to capture your physical activity. Please review the information associated with the following webpages for complete instructions.
Upon enrollment, you will indicate a phone number in which to receive text messages related to the Active KC program. These messages will be delivered throughout the week and include various active living topics and motivators to get you moving.
Some messages will ask for your thoughts and preferences.
